About us

The Sawgrass Women’s Club,  formed over 43 years ago,  is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the development, education, and enrichment of our members.  A wide variety of activities provide an opportunity for the women of Sawgrass to get together and make new acquaintances while enjoying old friendships.  New programs and services are always being added to meet the needs of our diverse membership.

Monthly general meetings are held September through May at the Sawgrass Clubhouse, with a 10:00 a.m. social time followed by a short business meeting and guest speaker or enriching entertainment at 10:30 a.m.  The programs include the latest in personal health and well-being for women, cultural/historical attractions in  Jacksonville and the surrounding areas, landscaping, home décor, and other current trends.

The Sawgrass Women’s Club also offers many small group activities to take part in…whether your interests lie in Book Club, Bridge, Canasta, Day Tours, Mah Jongg, Lunch Around, or special local trips, we have many offerings to meet your interests! 

To be eligible to join SWC, you must be a member of the Sawgrass Country Club OR a resident of the Sawgrass Country Club community (defined as a property owner, relative living with a property, or a long term renter in the community), OR an existing SWC member that has moved to a retirement community. 

You can read our monthly newsletter, “The Sea Breeze,” on this website and get a taste of all of our fun activities and events available for our members.  You can easily join the club on this website as well by clicking on the “Become a New Member” tab where it will take you to a Member Application and a tab to pay the yearly dues of $46.65.
